GLASS TYPES

•  Clear Float
The most common type of glass. It is smooth, neutrally transparent, without optical defects. Used in both interior and exterior. The available thicknesses are: 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 mm.

•  Tinted Float Volume
Available colors are: brown, dark green, light green, blue. We have available on stock 4 mm thick but we can also deliver other ones.

•  Solar Control (Stopsol, Tentesol, Stopray, Cool-Lite)
Thanks to its special coating that type of glass reflects up to 2/3 of the solar spectrum heat, leaving the room cool without being obscure, i.e. they transmit maximum of the visible light, but a minimum of heat. The available colors are: brown, green, blue.

•  Energy Saving
The so-called low-emission glass (K-glass, G-Glass, Top N, Low E, Planitherm Total +) are with hard or soft coating. The advantages of soft coating are the better thermal performance. Its disadvantage is that before being enclosed in a window the glass requires special storage and specific treatment. Its coating reflects the infrared emission of heat sources (heating and household appliances, lighting, body, etc.) back into the room and don’t allow it to go out. Moreover, it passes and retains the solar heat in the room. Thus it blocks the heat loss and the money for installing a quality glazing recovers quickly due to savings in heating costs. The risk of condensation is significantly reduced. To avoid the room overheating during the summer, the low-emission glass must be combined in the window with a multifunctional (4 season) glass or solar control glass.

•  Multifunctional (4 season) Glass (Planitherm 4S, Planibel Top 1.0, Multifunctional Low E).
These glasses are also loe emission but combine excellent solar protection and very goos thermal insulation properties. They are called 4 Season Glasses because of their ability to provide comfort in all seasons. Their performance is much better than that of the conventional energy-saving glass. In most they prevent the formation of condensation. There are available with soft and hard coating.

•  Laminated Glass (Triplex)
The Triplex is in the group of protective glasses. It consists of two sheets of glass, connected to each other by several layers of compound resin, characterized by high adhesion, tensile strength and elasticity. This resin is transparent and does not affect the optical properties of the glass. In case of breaking it retains the sharp pieces in place. Therefore, the triplex is widely used today, both in interior and exterior and is mandatory for many public buildings and places with high risk of breaking. Antiburglar and resistant to hurricanes and earthquakes. Besides safety, it has very good soundproofing properties. It can be made of various types of glass - low emission, color, etc., as well as clear glass with colored resin layer. Available in different configurations of thickness, as the most common are 3/1/3, 4/1/4 and 5/1/5.

•  Tempered (Toughened) Glass
It is also in the group of protective glasses. The hardening is done as the float glass is heated above the point of tempering of 600°C, then it is immediately cooled by air. All glass processing - cutting, edging, drilling - is done first. It is 6 times stronger than the ordinary glass and when broken it falls apart into small pieces which are not sharp. It withstands high temperatures. Usually it is used for glass doors, shop windows, screens, shower cubicles. Many types of glass can be tempered. The yare supplied by custom size.

•  Ornamented
We offer a wide range of ordinary and special ornamental glasses - brown and colorless. The various combinations of them and their combination with colored glass give various aesthetic solutions. They transmit the light, but limit the visibility.

•  Frosted Glass
There are two types of frosted glass, depending on the way of treatment - chemical matt and mechanical matt. In the chemical treatment the float glass is processed by a special acid for obtaining satin effect, and in the mechanical treatment the effect is achieved by sand blasting. In the mechanical method a glass by design template can be made.

•  Lacquered (Lakobel)
Colorless glass unilateral covered with high quality varnish.
It is used exclusively for interior use. The great variety of colors makes it suitable for different design solutions - lining of walls, furniture doors, shelves, trim, doors, screens, etc. We keep available in stock the following colors - red, black, white, beige, gray, green, blue, orange. The thickness is 4 mm.

•  Glass With a Decorative Foil
We complete orders for windows with decorative foil, which is water and heat resistant. We have a catalog of different scenery, and complete orders by customer’s request (various inscriptions, decorations, logo).
